The city of Marietta is a historic river town which lies at the confluence of the Ohio and the Muskingum Rivers. Paddlers and rowers join us as we celebrate and explore Marietta’s waterways!

Mighty Muskingum River Raft Race
Check-in: 12 Noon
Start time: 1 pm
Start location: Muskingum Boat Ramp @ Indian Acres Park
Finish line: Harmar Bridge

Rules:
All rafts must be homemade. No commercial-manufactured nautical parts allowed.
All rafts must be non-motorized. Paddles, oars, poles, paddlewheels, and sails are all acceptable.
All participants must wear shoes or sandals at all times.
All crew members must wear an appropriate Coast Guard approved PFD (life jacket) during the race.
Each raft must be equipped with 50’ length of a 3/8” towline.
All minors participating in the race must be accompanied to the race by a parent or legal guardian
Youth 12 and under may participate on a team with an adult.
Anyone acting without regard to the safety of themselves or others will be subject to disqualification based on the above provisions.
All rafts and raft parts must be removed from the premises immediately after awards presentation
Each crew member must sign a release of liability waiver prior to entering the water on the day of the event.
