There will be two Gnome Hike locations. The goal of these self-led hikes is to both enjoy these wonderful trails but also see how many gnomes can be spotted along the sides of the trails. You can pick up the gnome coloring sheet at the RTA Lite HQ (Armory Lawn).
One location will be at the Kroger Wetlands (80 Acme St in Marietta) on the ~1 mile of trail system. Kroger Wetlands is a great local trail for all experience levels and can be a great place to also see some amazing wildlife especially birds. There can be poison ivy on the sides of this trail system so be sure to follow the rule "3 leaves stay away". https://mariettaohio.org/member/kroger-wetlands/
The other location will be at the Broughtons Wildlife and Education Area (639 SR 821 Marietta) on the "Orange" trail which is ~3 miles. It is a beautiful trail that follows the area's rolling hills and often makes you feel like you're not even in town any longer. https://thebroughtonfoundation.org/
Both Gnome Hikes will be available all day Friday and Saturday. Be sure to have bug repellent available and to avoid plants with 3 leaves. Enjoy!
